Since 1992, Historic Market Street in Corning, New York has served as a unique backdrop for a juried two-day summer celebration of the arts, a festival of art. The centerpiece of a festival of art is the fine arts and crafts show that features handcrafted work, complimented by live entertainment and hands-on activities for children. Organized by a consortium of arts, business, and community organizations, a festival of art offers a lively and diverse art's experience to local residents and visitors to Corning. Management of the event is under the direction of Corning's Gaffer District Festivals and Promotions with support from Corning Enterprises, dozens of businesses, community organizations, and over 200 volunteers.
