Corning's Gaffer District and Elmira Savings Bank invite you to HARVEST in downtown Corning! Join us on Saturday, September 16th from 12:00—6:00 pm on Market Street as we showcase Corning's Gaffer District as a food destination. Events include a Soup Off, pie contest, scavenger hunt sponsored by The Palace Theater, live music, and more!
SOUP OFF & PIE CONTEST
Pick your favorite entry for the tastiest soup in town! Guests can pick up a ballot at the Gaffer District information tent near Centerway Square or from a participating restaurant. Soup Off participants include: Three Birds Restaurant, Tony R's Restaurant, Little Boomer's Burrito Bar, Old World Café, Holmes Plate, Mooney's Sports Bar & Grill, The Source, Soul Full Cup, and Sorge's Restaurant. Guests are encouraged to try as many soups as they like and then to vote for their favorite. The completed ballot must be returned to the Gaffer District tent where the votes will be tallied and guests will be entered to win prizes.
Meet us near Centerway Stage to see who will win our "Best Pie in Corning" contest, determined by our local celebrity judges! Participants include: Tony R's Restaurant, Donna's Restaurant, Mooney's Sports Bar & Grill, Carey's Brew House and Old World Café.
Peruse our downtown's many shops, boutiques, and restaurants for the chance to win prizes! 25 participating businesses will be featured in our Scavenger Hunt sponsored by The Palace Theatre. Entry forms can be picked up and returned to the Gaffer District information tent located near Centerway Square. Prizes include movie passes, dinner certificates, and gift cards from participating businesses.

All events are FREE and open to the public. Due to the nature of the venue, guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs if desired. Limited seating will be available at each of the stages.
Market Street will be closed from Wall Street to Bridge Street, however, Cedar and Walnut Streets will remain open. Pedestrians should use caution and obey traffic signals at those intersections. The Centerway Parking Garage will remain open from both Tioga Avenue and Walnut Street entrances.
