Corning's Gaffer District Welcomes Smart Brain International to Downtown Corning

Corning, NY - Corning's Gaffer District is proud to announce that Smart Brain International will come to downtown Corning. Franchise owners, Kimberly and Brendan Holmes will offer after-school enrichment programs at The Corning Centerway ExecuCenter beginning Monday, November 30, 2015.

Smart Brain International provides opportunities for student enrichment that will develop strategies and lead to personal and academic success. While working with the Abacus and the fundamental brain development program, synaptic pathways are created bridging the right and left hemispheres of the brain.

The standard Smart Brain program includes two components: 1.5 hours of Abacus instruction and 1 hour of Common Core Aligned Enrichment in English or Math. Each class is organized as a small group, 5 to 8 students maximum. This provides learning opportunities in a supportive environment allowing the students to accelerate through the program at their own individual rate. After the first few months, most students show significant improvement across a broad spectrum including: arithmetic, memory recall, concentration, reading comprehension and conceptualization.

Classes will be held from 4:30–7pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings from 9:30am–12:45pm at the Centerway ExecuCenter located at 5 E. Market Street, Corning, NY. In the future, they plan to offer homework help classes and advanced classes focusing on Regents, SAT and other exams.

"Children today are being pushed harder to perform at levels never asked of us adults. Whether these students are from the suburbs or from the city, I truly believe they are doing so much better than anticipated. So, what can Smart Brain International do for Corning and the local area? Simply put, our powerful Abacus program can give you the advantage that most other school districts in the nation don't yet have. Brendan and Kimberly Holmes, our newest franchisees, have taken the brave step in opening our educational franchise system in Corning, NY! It is THEY who will deliver the benefits of our synaptic pathway brain development Abacus program, which will lead every single child in the program to grow in the following areas: performing mental arithmetic, reading comprehension/speed/accuracy, memory recall/recall speed, writing skills. We look forward to teaching your children and very much appreciate the trust put in us in doing so. This is an exciting time for all of us
at Smart Brain International as we hope it will be for you."
Surendra Gupta, founder and CEO of Smart Brain International

"As a teacher and foremost a parent, I am honored to introduce Smart Brain International to the Twin Tiers Region. After being introduced to this after-school enrichment concept almost 3 years ago I knew that this was something that I believed in and wanted for my children. Due to significant personal health issues I was not able to consider introducing this program to our area until this past summer. After additional years of research into this program we are ready to begin Monday, November 30th. Our open house was attended by more than 40 people and we see this program growing with time and enthusiasm as more students enroll."
