Fall fans, gather ‘round! Downtown Corning is getting ready to turn historic Market Street into a festive fall paradise for Harvest Fest — a two-day, family-friendly event filled with all the seasonal fun you could ever dream of. Picture this: over 200 vendors, live music, tasty treats, a scarecrow contest, highland cows, stilt walkers, horse drawn wagon rides and more! Ready to plan your visit? Here’s what you need to know:
Friday, September 20th: A Festive Fall Kick-Off!
Starting at 1 PM on Friday, Market Street will shut down to vehicle traffic. We’re officially kicking off Harvest at 4 PM, and this evening will set the mood for what’s to come on Saturday. (for an event parking map, click here.)
From 4 PM to 9 PM, wander down Market Street, dine at local vendors, and shop your way through a sea of unique, locally-made treasures. Live music will keep the good vibes flowing on every block—think of it as your personal concert crawl!
If you're a car buff, don’t miss the 607 MotorSports Car Show in the Centerway Parking Garage from 5 PM to 8 PM. It’s free, and who doesn’t love a chance to marvel at some classic and custom rides?
Saturday, September 21st: The Main Event!
Saturday is where Harvest really shines. From 11 AM to 9 PM, Market Street transforms into the ultimate fall playground! With activities for kids, live entertainment, and plenty of shopping and dining, there’s something for everyone.
- Face Painting for the kiddos by Jen Skella on Block 2 from 11 AM to 7 PM (bring on the butterflies and superheroes!)
- Cornhole Tournament presented by the Radisson Hotel Corning. Want to show off your bean bag skills? Sign up and get ready to throw!
- Scarecrow Contest: Vote for your favorite scarecrow created by local businesses—it’s free, it’s fun, and it’s fabulously festive.
- Stilt Walkers: Keep an eye out for these towering performers, roaming Market Street courtesy of Bath Planet. You won’t miss them, trust us.
- Scenic Hayrides with Hemlock Hidden Hames: Nothing says "fall" like a good old-fashioned hayride. Hop on with Hemlock Hidden Hames from 1 PM to 5 PM at the Market & Wall Street intersection near The Radisson Hotel. (Tickets: $5 for kids, $10 for adults.)
- 6 Pack Trials Car Show on Block 5 from 9 AM to Noon (more sweet rides to admire!)
- YMCA Inflatable Activities for the little ones in Riverfront Park from 10 AM to 6 PM.
- Balloon Art: Watch the Balloon Lady work her magic from 1:30 PM to 5 PM on Block 1 (fun for kids AND adults—no judgment here!).
- Live Music on three different stages!
- At the Val Reep Fountain near Market/Chestnut St. from 11 AM to 6:30 PM
- At the Centerway Stage from 11 AM to 8:30 PM
- At the Marich Music Stage from 10 AM to 7 PM
