Corning, NY – Corning’s Gaffer District welcomes a new salon, Strands Salon located at 77 East Market Street specializing in precision cuts, custom colors, formal styles, makeup, facial waxing, and personalized hair styling and makeup lessons to Corning’s downtown.
Owner and stylist, Lindsay Crance would like to invite the public to the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Strands Salon on Tuesday, August 9 at 12:30pm. Join Lindsay, along with fellow stylists Kerri Schillo and Dustin Dixon for a tour of the space and refreshments, between 11:45am–1:45pm.
As a stylist on Market Street for over 14 years, Lindsay wanted a space that allowed her to create beautiful hair and connect with each of her loyal guests. Crance stated, “I wanted it to feel inviting and calming, a place where anyone could come in and know they were welcome to be themselves.”
She is passionate about continuing education, including Redken and Goldwell certified classes and enjoys mentoring, supporting and encouraging other stylists. Hairstylists Kerri Schillo and Dustin Dixon will share Lindsay’s space and offer services at Strands Salon as well, with nearly 30 years of experience between the two of them.
The interior of Strands Salon features furniture pieces that are repurposed antiques. Crance explained, “I love all things vintage and retro, with a healthy dose of farmhouse and apothecary charm.”
Coleen Fabrizi, Executive Director for Corning’s Gaffer District stated, “We're thrilled to welcome Strands Salon to the Gaffer District! Lindsay offers many years of experience to her guests in a wonderful and relaxing environment."
