Dear Gaffer District Businesses,
Crystal City Traditions has a new spin on the Holiday season for the Gaffer District. So much of 2020 has been fraught with challenges and uncertainty. Yet, it has also been filled with extraordinary examples of the resiliency that Corning has demonstrated throughout its history.
Thank you to the businesses who have responded to the challenges before them with grit and determination, modifying their business plan at a moment's notice. You continue to be there for customers in a variety of ways. Please be sure to check your business listing on the Gafferdistrict.com website to make sure all of your information is correct and up to date.
Here are some of the things we have planned for Crystal City Traditions:

A message from Annie, our Merchandising Coordinator:
As the autumn leaves continue to fall in the Gaffer District, my creative energy is focused on the upcoming Holiday window change.
As always, I will begin the changeover schedule with our districts 15 retailers, who now, more than ever, rely upon our visual merchandising program to help promote their goods and entice passersby to stop in and shop. When that is complete, I will move block by block to complete the remaining 30 businesses that utilize our program.
Changeovers begin the last week of October, and all businesses in the program will have their Holiday Windows complete before Thanksgiving. I will be discussing prospective dates with each business individually and ask that before your scheduled date, you have your windows clean and hang your holiday lights around the perimeter of your window if you are planning to do so.
Small Business Saturday Coalition
Mark your calendars – Small Business Saturday® falls on November 28, 2020! As a past Coalition member, you are aware that the Small Business Saturday Coalition was founded in partnership with American Express in 2011 by Women Impacting Public Policy, with a goal of creating and growing a coalition of local, state, and national organizations to amplify Shop Small® and Small Business Saturday, a program dedicated to backing a diverse range of local businesses that help create jobs, boost the economy, and help enhance neighborhoods around the country. Keep in mind, your role is more important than ever – we need your help to encourage your community to stay safe while supporting small businesses during the holidays and beyond.
