Corning, NY - Corning's Gaffer District is pleased to announce the opening of Hand + Foot, a new bar serving craveable food in an environment focused on craft and community.
Located at 69 W. Market Street in Corning's historic Gaffer District, Hand + Foot offers a unique blend of modernity and nostalgia. Using fresh, local, and house-made ingredients in creative, world-cuisine-influenced dishes and drinks, Hand + Foot appeals to a wide base of customers, including "beer geeks," "locavores," "foodies," and "whiskey hounds."
Hand + Foot offers sandwiches, sides and shareables, along with alcoholic beverages that have been selected based on merit from craft, local, national, and international sources.
Hand + Foot is managed and staffed by its owners, Dan and Laurie Morton, who have experience working in the extremely competitive markets of Orlando and New York City.
"Hand + Foot brings a new, contemporary flare with local flavor to Market Street," said Coleen Fabrizi, Executive Director of The Gaffer District. "Its presence on the street will be an attractive feature to locals and visitors alike, and an added element to our downtown's culinary atmosphere."
"In this era of technology overload and disconnection, Hand + Foot is a place that values humanity and where someone greets you by name and starts making your drink while you are still settling into your seat," states Laurie Morton.
"We have great music, no 24/7 TV, a long community table, and couches and chairs nestled in the window niches," adds Dan Morton. "All of this works to create a reason to put away your smartphone and build community right here with your neighbors from down the street or the other side of the world."
Hand + Foot is open from 11:00 AM until 1:00 AM, daily. For more information, including full beverage list and food menu, browse their website at www.handandfoot.co.
