Shop Where I Live

The Gaffer District and Corning Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the creation of a new platform for businesses to sell their products and services through a local, online marketplace. The new platform, Shop Corning (powered by shopwhereilive.com), will enable our area businesses to sell online together and make it easy for customers to shop multiple Corning-area businesses through one website. Think of it as our own "local Amazon!" This program is available to all Gaffer District businesses. Check it out HERE!

How Does My Business Join?

Businesses in the Gaffer District that are members of the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce can participate in the program for free. If a business is not a chamber member, it can join by paying the yearly membership fee.

Façade and Elevation Improvement Grant

A matching grant of between $250.00 and $500.00 for exterior improvements is available to all businesses and property owners.

Visual Merchandising Program

The visual merchandising program provides businesses with a free window-dressing program that incorporates merchandise, signage, and professional props to provide an attractive welcome to visitors and customers.

Market Street Restoration Agency Enhanced Facade Grant

The Market Street Restoration Agency is pleased to announce a momentous event in honor of its 50th anniversary. The agency is launching a one-time façade grant exclusively dedicated to the restoration and preservation of historical façades within Corning's prestigious Gaffer District. The grant initiative is a testament to the agency's unwavering commitment to enhancing Market Street's architectural heritage and aesthetic appeal, from Wall to Walnut Streets, including intersecting streets within the historic district.
